Performances with Microbes-Tattoo-Workshop (2022)
Tattooing as a mainstream subcultural practice is closely linked to queer ecology and gardening. The plants grow, so to speak, from the carefully tilled soil onto the bodies of their gardeners. As a playful lecture performance, we will pursue this symbiosis and experiment with our role as microbial habitats in the interactive workshop. Together with the participants, we set a symbol for the recognition of our involvement in the close symbiosis with microbes in the form of (washable) microbe tattoos.
